Demonstrates 24-hour accountability for clinical, operational, human resources, and financial management of the department. Ensures delivery of high-quality patient care in a learning environment fostering professional growth, accountability, and autonomy.

Responsibilities

Clinical Management

• Ensure department compliance with regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, CMS, HIPAA).
• Promote evidence-based practice and support the Elliot Nursing Theory.
• Collaborate on policy review and development.

Operations Management

• Develop departmental goals aligned with Elliot Health System.
• Participate in business and marketing planning.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Human Resources Management

• Lead recruitment, staff development, and performance evaluations.
• Foster positive interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.

Financial Management

• Assist in budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
• Manage staffing productivity and payroll accuracy.

Professional Development

• Stay updated on leadership and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
