Job summary

IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, seeks an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to design engaging instruction promoting academic achievement and well-being for student-athletes.

The role requires fostering an inclusive classroom, collaborating with families and staff, and delivering instruction aligned with curriculum standards while maintaining professional standards and supporting boarding students and school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area.
• Strong classroom management skills are required.
• Highly organized with flexibility to support boarding students and their families.
• Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Technologically savvy.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging educational environment where student-athletes are encouraged to achieve their holistic potential.
• Design, implement, and adapt instructional activities that align with curriculum standards and foster active, meaningful student learning.
• Develop, administer, and analyze assessments to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and ensure continuous growth toward learning objectives.
• Differentiate instruction by identifying, selecting, and modifying resources to meet the needs of student-athletes with diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and self-discipline in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including grades, attendance, and other documentation required by laws, accreditation standards, and school regulations.
• Communicate consistently and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress, needs, and achievements.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning opportunities to support school initiatives and ongoing professional growth.
• Model high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions with students, families, and the community.
• Support school events, extracurricular activities, and other duties that contribute to a positive school community.
• Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
