Job summary

Phoenix Union High School District 210 seeks an Instructional Assistant, ELL for Academies at South Mountain. Two positions available, previously advertised, working under the teacher or Instructional Leader to assist with daily educational activities.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, monitoring students, tutoring individuals and small groups, and assisting with test administration and record-keeping. Requires a HS diploma or GED and some classroom experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent; AND some previous classroom experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports and assists in implementing lesson plans as prescribed by the curriculum teacher or Instructional Leader.
• Monitors students during lessons and assists with homework and classwork grading.
