Global Educational Excellence (GEE) seeks an ELL Teacher for Pillars Academy in Southfield, MI to design and deliver language acquisition support for students whose first language is not English, advancing academic language proficiency and content access.

You will assess language proficiency, provide direct instruction and co-teaching, and collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction for English learners. CAP enrollment may be explored for certification pathways.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an ESL/ELL or Bilingual endorsement.
• CAP eligibility may be obtained through the Career Advancement Program during application.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Mansioni

• Assess student language proficiency using WIDA screener and ACCESS assessments; maintain progress records for ELL students.
• Provide direct instruction, co-teaching, and push-in/pull-out language support aligned with WIDA standards.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate content-area instruction for English learners.
• Identify and properly enroll students with Limited English Proficiency; maintain ELL program records per MDE requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community resources.
• Participate in Child Study Team meetings and professional development.
