Qualifications

• Holds/maintains required state department of education credential.

• Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) or similar training may be required for some assignments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a thorough understanding of subject matter and pedagogy. Organizes content and goals to support student achievement.
• Prepares instructional materials and teaches assigned students and subjects as scheduled.
• Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with state standards and district goals.
• Evaluates student needs and learning styles; differentiates instruction to advance learning.
• Uses assessment strategies to monitor progress and provides interventions within set timeframes.
