Western Technical College is seeking a substitute instructor to deliver quality curriculum and assess student learning, preparing them for workplace readiness or continued education. The role includes promoting social justice within the division and the larger college community.
Schedule involves morning sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9:00 AM–12:00 PM) at the Independence Regional Learning Center and evening sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:30 PM–7:30 PM) at Arcadia High School;
Instructors are responsible for providing quality academic curriculum, instruction, assessment, and for ensuring a productive and challenging learning experience is delivered to prepare students for the workplace and/or a pathway to further education. This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution. The position is a substitute position.
Instruction is primarily in a face‑to‑face format on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9AM-12PM) at the Independence Regional Learning Center and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (5:30PM-7:30PM) at Arcadia High School. As needs arise, substitute instructors pick up classes during these times as their schedules allow.
