Telnyx is seeking an Elixir Telephony Engineer to design, build, and deploy APIs and services on the Telnyx Telephony platform. You will work with engineers across teams to deliver large-scale telephony features, solving latency and performance challenges with modern tooling and AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with a global team, leveraging Telnyx products and open source technologies to drive impactful solutions while focusing on developer productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development with Elixir.
• Strong knowledge of microservice architecture patterns.
• Experience with concurrent and distributed programming challenges.
• Thoughtful decision making; balance speed with long-term optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx’s telephony teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to build telephony features at scale.

• Identify, optimize, and resolve latency, scalability, and performance bottlenecks.
