Telnyx is seeking an Elixir Telephony Engineer to design, build, and deploy groundbreaking applications as part of the Telnyx Telephony platform. Engineers lead from high-level system design to data integration, using Telnyx products, open source tech, and team-driven innovation to deliver real impact.

AI-assisted engineering is integrated into our workflow, leveraging the Telnyx Inference product to boost developer productivity, code quality, and operational efficiency while serving users

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software development experience with Elixir.
Strong knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and anti-patterns.
Understanding of concurrent and distributed programming challenges.
Thoughtful decision making: balance speed and long-term optimization.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
Curious about latest technologies and patterns.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx’s telephony engineering teams.
Work with engineers across the company to build new telephony features at large-scale.
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Identify, optimize and resolve issues related to latency, scalability, and performance of core telephony infrastructure.
