Qualifications

• 3,000 hours PIC flying time as a licensed commercial or military helicopter pilot.
• 1,500 PIC turbine hours including last 12 months; 100 PIC hours vertical reference in HEC.
• 500 PIC hours at or above 5,000 ft MSL.
• 3 years PIC in utility support or 3 years low-level turbine helicopter experience in mountains.

Responsibilities

• Operate Department-owned turbine helicopters for utility, security, and transportation duties.
• Transport external loads and perform roof-top landings and take-offs.
• Fly in daylight and nighttime conditions and in varied weather and terrain.
• May require travel out of town for extended periods.
