General Summary & Scope

The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, and recommends products and services. They deliver quality professional services, support the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM), and focus on performance, guest service, and process compliance. A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service skills, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Elite Stylist demonstrates Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through:

Performance

• Performing various hair services and makeup applications, including haircuts, color, styling, treatments, extensions, and ear piercing (if applicable).
• Achieving or exceeding a weekly sales goal of $1900 and contributing to store sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrinkage targets.
• Conducting product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Supporting in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Staying informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

People

• Developing guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serving all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborating with skin therapists and retail teams for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Building professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program and app.
• Attending training and meetings for professional development.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Following established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Using booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicating supply needs and maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards.
• Adhering to dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Performing other operational tasks as assigned.
