GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, recommends products and services, and delivers quality professional services focusing on the guest’s total look. They support the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM), emphasizing performance, guest service, and process adherence. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge are essential.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Elite Stylist demonstrates Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through:

Performance

• Performing hair services such as design, cuts, color, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing.
• Achieving or exceeding an average weekly sales goal of $1900 and meeting productivity targets for hair services, retail, and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrinkage.
• Conducting product demonstrations to enhance sales and guest experience.
• Supporting in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Staying informed about industry trends, products, and services, including ingredients and benefits.
• Maintaining prompt and regular attendance.

People

• Building guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serving all guests efficiently, including walk-ins.
• Collaborating with skin therapists and the retail team for a comprehensive guest experience.
• Fostering professional relationships with peers and brand partners.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attending mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Following safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols in accordance with state guidelines.
• Adhering to established service protocols for a consistent guest experience.
• Using booking and client management systems effectively.
• Communicating supply needs to the EM.
• Maintaining cleanliness and operational standards in the salon.
• Following the dress code and loss prevention practices.
• Executing other operational tasks as assigned.
