Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Cowshed Esthetician to deliver high-quality facial, waxing and body services to members and guests in Chicago. The role requires evaluating skin conditions, adhering to spa protocols and maintaining sanitation standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years’ experience, a valid Illinois State License, strong communication skills and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Hydrafacial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Valid Illinois State License.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety measures.
• Strong communication and people skills, business savvy and technology efficient.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent time management.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Trained on the Hydrafacial device is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality services and elevated experiences to members and guests.
• Provide consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Evaluate a customer’s skin condition and offer recommendations for treatments.
• Perform facials, waxing, and body services meeting guidelines and member expectations.
• Assess contraindications of guests that may prevent service from taking place.
• Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and spa policies.
• Perform prep work and restock room as required.
• Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Provide accurate, appropriate responses to all requests by members and guests.
