Job summary

Charlotte FC/Advocate Health is seeking two Sports Performance Dietitians to deliver evidence-based nutrition strategies across the athlete pathway, including the Academy (up to 130 athletes) and Crown Legacy FC (up to 30 athletes). You will work with the First Team Dietitian to build trusted relationships with athletes and staff in an elite soccer environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of applicable state within 3 months of hire; temporary license within 30 days to practice per state law
• Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) preferred OR within 1 year of hire; CSSD to be maintained thereafter
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred OR within 1 year of hire. To be maintained thereafter
• Minimum 2 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor nutrition needs and status of elite athletes and adjust interventions
• Counsel athletes on optimal nutrition for training and competition including hydration and supplementation
• Conduct sports nutrition testing (hydration, body composition, metabolic testing) and interpret results
• Write medical nutrition therapy orders and maintain records of interventions
• Develop and implement nutrition education initiatives and resources for athletes
• Coordinate fuel and hydration planning for home and travel sites
• Collaborate with food service to ensure optimal food provision for performance
• Attend practices/games; participate in budget planning and vendor relations
