University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Assistant Performance Dietician to optimize student-athlete health and performance. The role includes individual nutrition counseling, team education, and menu development for football and other teams under the Director of Sports Nutrition.

The position requires a registered dietitian and NC licensure within 3 months, with preferred experience in athletic settings and knowledge of FERPA/HIPAA compliance.

Formación

• Registered dietitian with active registration and ability to obtain North Carolina RD licensure within 3 months of hire.
• Experience managing nutrition care for athletes is preferred.
• Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Understanding of NCAA, USADA, and WADA rules regarding banned substances is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized nutrition counseling to UNC student-athletes.
• Lead team nutrition education and conduct group talks.
• Develop menus for football and other assigned teams under supervision.
• Coordinate patient-care with athletic trainers, strength staff, and sports science teams.
• Screen supplements and analyze DEXA scans to optimize performance.
