Job summary

RSL Academy in Utah is seeking an Academy Coach to lead training sessions, prepare teams for competition, and coach on matchdays. You will collaborate with the Academy Director to implement club-aligned strategies and help develop a clear team identity.

The role involves roster management, talent identification, and ongoing player development, with a focus on scouting prep and strong stakeholder relationships across Utah, Arizona, and nationwide.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications of USSF B license (or equivalent from an approved federation).
• Ability to pass a background check and become Safesport certified.
• Ability to teach through demonstration.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate player performance using video analysis tools and data.
• Outstanding knowledge of the sport, current tactics, and coaching methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to planning and execution of training sessions to prepare teams for matches.
• Attends all matches, coaching the team as assigned.
• Collaborates with the Academy Director to monitor development.
• Conducts player assessments as deemed appropriate by the Academy Director.
• Assists in creating a focused training environment within the player pathway.
• Implements strategies aligned with club developmental goals and team identity.
• Maintains relationships with Academy Directors, Coaches, and Players nationally.
• Maintains coaching licenses at the highest levels available.
• Other duties as assigned.
