Job summary

Vail Resorts in Vermont is hiring for winter 2026/27 positions including Ski Patrol. The role focuses on safety for staff and guests on the mountain, with a strong emphasis on calm judgment in crisis situations.

Starting wage is $23.00/hr to $30.61/hr for winter seasonal positions (full-time or part-time). Housing is available, and applicants must meet age and certification requirements. Applications are accepted rolling until December 15.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of patrol experience preferred.
• Fluent English communication required.
• Excellent guest service skills required.
• Able to work in a mountain environment in inclement weather.
• Valid US driver's license required.
• Current OEC medical certification required.
• Able to drive truck and UTV on approved routes.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and lift evacuation support during Skyride operations.
• Organize and conduct lift evacuation practices.
• Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain and transport them off.
• Assist trail maintenance staff when Skyride is not operating.
• Transport supplies and heavy equipment to areas of need.
• Other duties as assigned.
