Job summary

L4 Security and Consulting Group, LLC is hiring a Security Guard to protect property and people across client sites in McAllen, Texas. You will monitor entrances, identify visitors, and respond to alarms to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to obtain Texas DPS licenses, strong customer service, and the capacity to operate security systems while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Acquire and maintain Texas DPS Level II and III license
• Maintain professionalism and ability to wear a uniform neatly and correctly
• Ability to provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing
• Ability to be alert and appropriately deal with escalated and crisis/emergency situations
• Ability to multi-task
• Operate a computer and other security devices
• Must be able to obtain required training and licensures depending on client/state

Responsibilities

• Protect property and lives
• Monitor entrance/egress of property
• Identify visitors and request documentation
• Guard against theft and maintain security
• Respond to alarms and distress calls
• Complete daily & incident reports by recording observations, information occurrences and surveillance activities
• Prevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
• Prevent access to unauthorized persons
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use
• Regulate and monitor building systems
• Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working
• Complete all required security logs
• Communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitors
