Job summary

System One is seeking a Python Full Stack Developer in Suitland, MD, onsite 2-3 days per week, to build cloud-native applications for classified environments. The role requires TS/SCI clearance and expertise in Python (Django/FastAPI) plus React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

You will contribute across the stack, from database design to UI, using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Keycloak, delivering secure, maintainable systems under operational pressure.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Strong Python backend with Django or FastAPI in production.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js.
• RESTful API design with schema validation.
• PostgreSQL schema design and migrations.
• AWS experience across classified partitions and regions.
• Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Keycloak/OIDC/SAML integration.
• Secure development in STIG/FIPS environments.
• GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• DevSecOps practices including SAST/DAST/SCA.
• 5+ years hands-on development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full-stack applications from database to API to UI.
• Move fluidly between backend logic and frontend polish on secure platforms.
• Collaborate using Terraform, GitLab, and secure auth with Keycloak.
