Job summary

United States Secret Service seeks a Special Agent to perform critical protective and investigative assignments. The role starts at a base salary of $65,435.00 (GL-07, step 1), with potential to $158,322.00 (GS-13, step 10). LEAP pay adds 25% of the base rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) based on class standing, GPA, or honor society membership.
• GPA criteria include a 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale or 3.5+ in major field within the final 2 years.
• Graduate education or specialized experience may substitute for college requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform protective and investigative assignments as a Special Agent.
• Complete required Phase I (NCIC, SAEE, APAT, interview) and Phase II (background checks, polygraph, medical) assessments.
• Maintain fitness and readiness for vigorous training and selection processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree with S.A.A.

Graduate level education or equivalent experience

Specialized law enforcement or investigative experience (GL-5/GL-7 level)
