Job summary

Alameda Health System in California seeks a Plastic Surgeon to provide on-site medical and surgical care at Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital. You will lead the Plastic Surgery clinic and oversee residents and students while delivering advanced reconstructive procedures.

Responsibilities include 24/7 on-call coverage for emergencies and inpatient consultations, and collaboration with the Department of Surgery to manage policies, costs, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree is required.
• Completion of approved Plastic Surgery residency.
• Valid California medical license.
• Board Certification or Eligibility.
• DEA number required.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical and surgical care for plastic and reconstructive conditions.
• Direct and manage Plastic Surgery Clinic and related surgical cases.
• Provide plastic surgery consultations and perform needed procedures.
• Supervise residents, midlevel practitioners and students.
• Provide 24/7 coverage for plastic surgery emergencies and inpatient consults.
• Assist in policy development and departmental organization.

Education

MD/DO degree (M.D. or D.O.)

Plastic Surgery residency completed

California medical license
