Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an experienced pipe welder to join a specialized team welding critical piping systems for naval vessels. You will work on stainless steel and copper-nickel piping, using GTAW/TIG, SMAW, and FCAW processes, with emphasis on precision and safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years of pipe welding experience.
• Ability to weld Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel to exact specs.
• Proficient with GTAW/TIG, SMAW and FCAW processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision pipe welding on Stainless Steel and Copper-Nickel using GTAW/TIG.
• Weld using SMAW and FCAW processes.
• Work from drawings, specifications, and welding procedures to ensure integrity.
• Support ship construction in a 24/7 environment, including heights and confined spaces.
• Maintain safety standards that meet or exceed industry requirements.
