Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, seeks a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join a collegial Neurosurgery team. The role features a base salary of $1.1 million with a 2-year guarantee, plus a $100,000 bonus, moving allowance of $15,000, CME $5,000 and generous time off, tail malpractice coverage and a 403(b).

Responsibilities

• Case mix includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain and busy trauma service.
• Two Clinic Days/3 OR Days.
• No elective cases or clinic while on Trauma Call.
• Dedicated Clinic RN for each Physician Call; 1:4 with APP taking 1st call and daily inpatient rounding.
• On-site X-Ray, CT and MRI/ Functional MRI.
• Robust spine center with integrated Pain and PMR EMR: CERNER.
• Moving to EPIC Fall 2025.
