Job summary

UW Medical Center - Montlake in Seattle is seeking an experienced Neonatal Registered Nurse to join our Level IV NICU, caring for premature and critically ill newborns born here or transported from area hospitals.

Two or more years in Level III NICU or higher, WA RN license, and graduation from an accredited nursing program are required. This night-shift, 36-hour-per-week position offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Two or more years experience in Level III NICU or higher NICU.
Have/obtain a RN license to practice in the state of Washington or MSL.
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

Care for multiple births and micro preemies—babies born before 26 weeks gestation or weighing less than 2.2 pounds.
Work with an interdisciplinary team including neonatologists, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and nutritionists.
Contribute to research initiatives and standards for reducing brain damage and lung problems in premature babies.
Collaborate with parents as members of the baby's health-care team.
