Job summary

Disney World is seeking a Power Distribution Technician to operate and maintain the resort's electric utility transmission, distribution and industrial system. The role may involve work from elevated platforms and confined spaces across the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

Required: Journeyman Electrician, Florida Class A/B CDL or ability to obtain; experience with high- and medium-voltage distribution, protection systems, and reading electrical schematics.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Journeyman Electrician certification and experience with power distribution.
• Experience in substation operations, protection systems and device switching.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric utility power distribution protection and industrial systems.
• Provide emergency response and restore service during outages.
• Perform preventive maintenance on distribution and industrial equipment.
• Test, calibrate and repair electric utility equipment and systems.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE as required.
