HMHSS Homeport Hampton Roads in Norfolk, VA is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness of residential and common areas. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, bathrooms, windows, laundry areas, and outdoor spaces, with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 1–3 years of solid previous work history required.
• Experience in cleaning facilities or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as in a team environment.
• Performs outdoor work in all weather conditions and can lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors, hallways, glass, and stairways.
• Spot cleans walls for finger and scuff marks.
• Waxes floors monthly as applicable.
• Empties all trash receptacles and recycling bins.
• Fully cleans all bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, counters, showers, and bathtubs.
• Cleans windows, doors, walls, and window coverings.
• Dusts, makes beds, washes linens, and arranges living areas.
• Cleans exterior windows and light fixtures, and sets trash/recycle bins out the night before collection.
• Regularly inspects vacant units to ensure cleanliness and odour-free conditions.
• Disinfects and sanitizes areas needing special attention.
• Inform supervisor of vandalism, damage, or repairs in common areas.
