Overview

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain and repair security alarm wiring and equipment in accordance with relevant codes for SafeStreets and state and local municipalities.
• Represent SafeStreets professionally in customer homes and businesses; identify customer needs and support sales activities by educating customers on products and services and presenting upgrade or additional service options, as applicable.
• Arrive at installation opportunities promptly; enhance the customer security system using the company enhancement process and perform installations efficiently according to company best practices as outlined in training and the Installation Manual.
• Provide consultation to customers about additional security needs or concerns.
• Ensure all paperwork and digital confirmations, including customer signatures and payments (if required), are completed at the time of installation.
• Check in upon arrival at each appointment and update Salesforce after successful installations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and controls, including receipt, usage, and physical counts of equipment.
• Maintain required certifications, licenses, and insurance as applicable.
• Read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and emails; communicate information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Follow the company’s established processes and protocol to respond to and resolve customer inquiries.
• Lift up to 45 pounds and stand, walk, bend as needed; work is performed in residential, commercial, indoor, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
• Possess a fully operational vehicle for travel to appointments; travel can be up to 30% of the workday.

Qualifications

• All SafeStreets employees must be at least 18 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Very effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to see and hear, and to write and speak English.
• Alarm industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Exceptional customer service skills and professional appearance.
• Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Other Information

Compensation may include base pay and, for eligible roles, variable compensation or bonuses. Variable and bonus compensation is not guaranteed and is governed by applicable plan terms. All compensation is paid in compliance with federal, state, and local wage laws, including applicable minimum wage and overtime requirements. Variable pay is defined as a performance-based compensation structure and will be shared in a separate compensation plan.
