State of Ohio is seeking a Trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol to join our public safety team. You will enforce traffic laws, respond to incidents, and support community safety across Ohio.

After gaining experience, you can apply to specialized units such as Aviation, Crash Reconstruction, and K9 Handler. The role requires a US citizenship, age 20–39, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid Ohio driver's license, with variable work hours and a permanent full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• United States Citizen
• Ages 20 to 39
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License (Ohio residency must be established prior to commission)

Responsibilities

• Enforce traffic laws and investigate crashes and criminal incidents.
• Perform one technical or specialized function related to law enforcement operations as assigned.
• After two years, join specialty sections and work with top units.
