Job summary

Equinox Palo Alto is seeking Main Studio Instructors for cycling, barre, Pilates, and yoga. This role delivers the Equinox Experience, tailoring class intensity and ensuring timely starts and endings. You will teach multiple disciplines regularly, with ongoing professional development and strong member engagement.

The ideal candidate holds a current group fitness cert, CPR/AED, and a related degree is recommended. Excellent interpersonal skills and a vibrant, friendly demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM are acceptable).
• Degree in a related field strongly recommended.
• Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
• Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, and modifications.
• Must be eager to learn and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
• Adhere to class descriptions and adjust intensity for participants as needed.
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout each session.
• Ensure classes begin and end on time.
• Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
• Communicate feedback to Group Fitness Manager on members, equipment, and scheduling.
