Job summary

Equinox in Palo Alto is seeking a Studio Cycling Instructor to deliver high‑quality classes and create premium member experiences. The role requires cycling certification, CPR/AED certification, and knowledge of anatomy and fitness guidelines.

You will lead classes, monitor intensity, and coordinate with the Group Fitness Manager to ensure smooth operations. Compensation includes a per‑class rate of $65–$70 or $18.70/hr for non‑class work, with benefits and club access as part of the Equinox

Qualifications

Must possess a current cycling certification.
Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification.
Must be well‑versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations and ACSM Guidelines for frequency, intensity, duration, and mode.
Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education.
Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing.

Responsibilities

Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class.
Adhere to the class description and modify intensity for participants as needed.
Continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class.
Ensure class begins and ends on time.
Assist Members with technical/mechanical support on the bike to maximize their experience.
Teach respective classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on member feedback, equipment status, scheduling, and substitutions.
