American Express Global Business Travel in the United States is seeking a VIP Travel Consultant III to deliver high‑level travel planning and support for federal clients, managing complex itineraries with discretion and professionalism.

You will coordinate domestic and international travel across air, rail, and hotels, ensuring policy compliance and proactive service, while mentoring teammates to raise service levels.

Qualifications

• Passion for excellence in client service and proactive anticipation of traveler needs.
• Native GDS expertise with Sabre and deep understanding of travel industry best practices.
• 5+ years of experience as a travel consultant.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and discretion when handling traveler information.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (individuals and groups).
• Research travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Book domestic and international travel across air, rail, and accommodations.
• Utilize Sabre GDS to issue tickets and manage itineraries.
• Ensure compliance with client travel policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to special requests and changes while maintaining high service levels.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve service delivery.
