Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration is seeking Federal Air Marshals for Reading, PA. This role requires discretion, sound judgment, physical readiness, and firearms proficiency, with duties aboard flights and on the ground to protect commercial aviation.

You must meet basic eligibility, including U.S. citizenship, 21+ years old, ability to obtain Top Secret clearance, and successful completion of training. The position offers full-time irregular/on-call duty with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience that demonstrates problem-solving, planning, organization, and effective written and verbal communication.
• A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or a qualifying combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience.
• A qualifying combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience may suffice depending on vacancy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other criminal threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Carry a firearm and maintain firearms proficiency.
• Conduct law enforcement, investigative, analytical, and advisory activities.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects when required.
