Job summary

Transportation Security Administration is seeking Federal Air Marshals to protect commercial flights against terrorism and other threats. You will operate on domestic and international flights, carry firearms, and work under demanding conditions with limited notice.

This role requires substantial physical readiness, discretion, and judgment, with opportunities for federal benefits, travel, and professional advancement within the U.S. government's aviation security mission.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Must pass medical, drug screening, polygraph, and fitness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial passenger flights from terrorist activity, aircraft piracy, and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Assess situations and respond with limited backup.
• Carry a firearm and maintain proficiency as required.
• Conduct law enforcement, investigative, and advisory activities.
• Identify and interview witnesses or suspects when required.
• Participate in multi-agency operations with federal, state, and local partners.
