Wachter is seeking an Elite Data Cable Technician to join our premier low-voltage team on a long-term project involving advanced robotics and cutting-edge conveyor systems.

This road warrior role offers paid climbing school, certifications, and high-end gear, plus a comprehensive benefits package and long-term employment for qualified candidates. You will work with CAT5e, fiber optics, and networking daily.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with CAT5e, fiber optics, and networking.
• Knowledge of NEC, TIA/EIA, and BICSI standards; related certs a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints/site maps and install conduit.
• Strong people skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Own basic telecom tools/PPE and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling (CAT5e and fiber) safely and neatly.
• Operate boom and scissor lifts for high installations.
• Learn CCTV, IP video, Access Control, and Wireless LAN on the job.
• Collaborate with multiple trades to meet schedules.
• Adhere to Wachter and OSHA safety standards.
