Job summary

Mecon is seeking a Seasoned Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join the team in Jacksonville, FL. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with air‑cooled and water‑cooled HVAC systems, strong problem-solving skills, and an active EPA certification.

You will service, repair, and install HVAC equipment while delivering top‑notch customer care and coordinating with the dispatch team. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a commercial HVAC setting, a valid driver’s license, and OSHA 10.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• Active EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Manufacturer Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Operate and diagnose internal equipment controls and building automation systems.
• Perform maintenance, service, and installation of units; replace components as needed.
• Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered.
• Maintain service relationships with clients of varying sizes.
• Troubleshoot chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, air handlers, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to complete scheduled jobs.
• Work within allocated time requirements.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for customers.
