Job summary

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Portfolio samples and a GIA certification are a strong plus; position based in Midtown Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Excellent working experience with fine jewelry and precious metals.
• GIA certification is a strong plus.
• Portfolio of past work encouraged if possible.
• Committed to a standard of excellence.
• A high degree of aesthetic sensibility and time management.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a good attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with precious metals and stones for rings, bracelets, pendants, etc.
• Work with a microscope, handpieces, and other bench/setting tools
• Clean castings, prepare stones and findings, assembly, soldering, welding, finishing
• Clean components with steam and ultrasonic
• Consistently complete repairs and new production
• Inspect pieces for quality and accuracy
• Take initiative and follow through on requests for completion
• Maintain clean and organized workstation
• Assess and provide input on setting aspects during early project stages
• Work onsite Monday to Friday 9AM-6PM in Midtown Manhattan
