Job summary

Nike Inc. is seeking an Expert Basketball Apparel Designer for the Jordan line to create innovative, style-led designs that reflect Jordan’s philosophy and lead industry innovation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept through production, delivering prototypes, tech packs, and vigorous brand storytelling while mentoring junior designers. You will partner with Color Design, Graphic Design, and Product Management to ensure feasibility, pricing, and timely delivery across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design or related field.
• 8+ years' experience designing and developing innovative Apparel and related products.
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
• Must be able to build accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
• Cobbling and prototyping skills are a plus.
• 3D design program experience are a plus.
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, construction.
• Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
• Experience and knowledge of basketball, or a passion to learn about basketball.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative designs for Performance product lines.
• Collaborate with Color Design, Graphic Design, Product Management and Development teams to bring the seasonal direction to life.
• Provide prototype sampling and tech pack information, including fabrication, trim, color, and construction details.
• Monitor development of prototype samples with internal teams and manufacturing partners.
• Lead and mentor Designers and team members to share knowledge and drive product excellence.
