The ideal candidate has an associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or higher, strong troubleshooting, experience with CAD wiring diagrams, and hands-on use of lab and avionics tooling.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Higher degree may substitute for experience.
• Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Instrumentation experience with standard lab/test equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with 3-D CAD software and generating wiring schematics.
• Basic avionics installation tooling, wiring repair and installation skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience pinning/de-pinning connectors, crimping, and chafe protection.
• Troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals on developing, producing, testing, and maintaining aircraft and/or aircraft electronics systems.
• Ensure compliance with aircraft requirements.
• Conduct repairs and installations.
• Test internal systems and check quality assurance based on understanding of aircraft and computer systems.
• Analyze new product designs to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
