Job summary

Universal Nissan-Hyundai-Genesis in Orlando is seeking a skilled Master Technician to service vehicles from routine maintenance to complex repairs. The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing tests, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• ASE certification a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus.
• Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair preferred.
• Experience in engine performance preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Certification in a related field from a vocational school a plus.
• Strong verbal communication skills for customer and mechanic interactions.
• Detail oriented and thorough, organized.
• Critical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and mechanical/analytical mindset.
• Physical strength and stamina; able to lift 50 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Examine cars based on customer requests and concerns.
• Perform basic maintenance including rotating tires, checking fluid levels, and changing oil.
• Repair or replace worn parts and systems such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors.
• Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.
• Identify mechanical and electrical problems with diagnostic equipment and inspection.
• Determine appropriate repair measures based on research and experience.
• Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately per customer specifications.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
