Job summary

Comunidadlift seeks an Athletic Trainer for Track and Field/Cross Country within its athletic medicine program. You will provide primary medical care for TK/XC athletes, develop emergency action plans, and coordinate coverage across practice and competition sites.

Under medical supervision, you’ll evaluate injuries, manage rehabilitation, determine safe return to play, maintain athlete medical records, supervise trainees, and collaborate with physicians and therapists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 60 months of related experience accepted.
  • 12 months of certified athletic trainer experience required.
  • Board Certification for Athletic Trainer (BOC) and state licensure.
  • CPR/AED certification current.

Responsibilities

  • Primary medical care provider for TK/XC athletes.
  • Develop and implement emergency action plans for multiple locations.
  • Coordinate medical staff coverage, supplies, and equipment.
  • Prevent, recognize, diagnose, refer, treat and rehabilitate injuries.
  • Establish return-to-play criteria and process.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for athletes.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate athletic trainers.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Attend all home and away competitions.
