Job summary

Parsons' Federal Solutions Team seeks a highly capable Armed Security Officer to safeguard personnel, property, and critical infrastructure. You will enforce regulations, control access, and respond to emergencies with preparedness and professionalism.

The role requires active security credentials, fitness, and weapons proficiency with Glock 17 and M4 rifles, plus state armed guard certification and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and able to carry a firearm.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Eligible for Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Pass standard fitness test.
• Qualified with Glock 17 pistol and M4 rifle.
• Complete state-specific Armed Guard certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence and deliver high-quality security services.
• Control access and verify identification and authorization.
• Enforce post orders and facility regulations.
• Conduct patrols by foot, bike, or vehicle.
• Observe and report suspicious activities.
• Respond to emergencies including fire, medical, and threats.
• Apply Use of Force policies and armed response as needed.
• Assist and direct visitors and personnel.
• Maintain weapons and equipment proficiency.
• Complete mandatory training and recertification annually.
