Job summary

Dark Wolf in Chantilly, VA seeks an elite AI Software Architect (SME) to drive vision and enterprise-wide AI/ML architecture across air-gapped, multi-cloud and edge environments.

You will serve as the principal technical authority, bridging high-assurance systems engineering with cutting-edge models, custom inference engines, and zero-trust DevSecOps pipelines for mission-critical workloads. US citizenship with TS/SCI polygraph required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Engineering or related field; master's/PhD strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of software engineering and systems architecture experience.
• AI frameworks & LLMOps: PyTorch, TensorRT-LLM, vLLM, DeepSpeed; enterprise orchestration: LangGraph, AutoGen, LlamaIndex.
• AI models & fine-tuning: MoE, LoRA/QLoRA, RLHF/DPO/GRPO.
• ML systems engineering: MLOps/LLMOps, governance, real-time drift detection.
• Systems programming: Java, Rust, Python, C; CUDA/Triton kernels; performance profiling.
• Containerization & mesh: Kubernetes multi-cluster, Istio, bare-metal GPU scheduling, zero-trust.
• Multi-cloud & air-gapped infra: AWS GovCloud, Azure Secret, Terraform, Pulumi; air-gapped deployments.
• DevSecOps & AI security tooling: SAST/DAST, TEEs, runtime guardrails, remediation.
• Agile & enterprise transformation: SAFe, multi-pod teams, architectural debt management.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise AI system design: end-to-end distributed AI platforms and scalable deployment topologies.
• Autonomous & agentic systems: multi-agent orchestration and real-time routing layers.
• Hardware & inference optimization: heterogeneous compute, quantization, and custom kernels.
• Zero-trust security & governance: automated DevSecOps, guardrails, and supply-chain risk management.
• Technical authority & roadmap strategy: align objectives with executives and stakeholders.
