This role emphasizes GTAW 6G with open root joints on aluminum, steel, stainless, and CuNi, plus socket welding of carbon steel and CuNi/ stainless steel combinations, in a safety-focused environment with per diem and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Welding pipes of various metals on ships or in a shop to support fabrication and construction of marine vessels including US Naval and commercial ships.

Responsibilities

• GTAW 6G with open root joints on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and CuNi.
• Socket welding: Carbon Steel to CuNi, Carbon Steel to Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel to Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel to Stainless Steel, CuNi to CuNi.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and shipyard/shop work requirements.
