This position reports to an RSM Eligibility Services Administrator (OFI Administrator) located in the OFI RSM Unit.

Job Description

PG - I

Provide direct supervision and plans work of a team/unit of Eligibility Specialists determining program eligibility. Assists in the development of uniform policy interpretations, securing services and timely benefits, and evaluating quality. Maintains a system of management to monitor quality, quantity, and timeliness of benefits.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision and support to assigned team/unit of Eligibility Specialists.
  • Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services provided to customers in addition to assigned programmatic responsibilities to ensure the identified outcome measures are achieved.
  • Ensures agency compliance with policies, appropriate documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Develops and encourages a cooperative team-oriented environment within units(s) and with other agencies and providers.
  • Assess assigned staff performance and provide ongoing development and training.
  • Interviews, hires, directs, trains. and evaluates employees job performance; recommends employee disciplinary and discharge actions as appropriate.
  • Leads and administers a comprehensive system of customer support and public assistance.
  • Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED AND Four (4) years of job-related customer contact/interaction experience, AND One (1) year in a lead worker, team lead, or supervisory role.

OR

  • One (1) year of experience at the lower level Eligibility Spec 3 (SST072) or position equivalent.

Agency Specific Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience at lower level Eligibility Specialist 2/3 with GA DFCS.
  • Trained AND worked in two (2) OR three (3) OFI programs.
  • Must be Gateway eligibility system trained.
