City of New York, Income Clearance Program, seeks Eligibility Specialist II to process income matches and determine Cash Assistance, SNAP, and Medical Assistance. You will verify information in the Welfare Management System and prepare eligibility forms for appropriate case actions at 375 Pearl Street, with a 9-5, Mon-Fri schedule.
The role requires thorough review of data, accuracy in budgeting benefits, and ability to collaborate with multiple city agencies.

DSS-AO is responsible for protecting the integrity of social services programs administered by the NY City DSS and ensuring that DSS complies with all statutory, regulatory and contractual standards.
The Income Clearance Program (ICP) is responsible for the processing of various computer matches which indicates income or resources received by Cash Assistance (CA), Non-Cash Assistance and mixed household participants. The computer matches are designed to reduce fraud, ineligibility/error levels for both Cash Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). ICP interacts with other programs, City and State agencies including, Management Information Systems (MIS), Medical Insurance and Community Services Administration (MICSA), the Administration for Children Services (ACS), the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) and others to coordinate and reconcile these possible discrepancies.
