Job summary

Fortis Native Group is hiring a Full-Time Elevator Mechanic Supervisor for our Miami contract. The candidate must be willing to travel between assigned sites and may assist at non-assigned sites.

The role focuses on maintaining and repairing automated people movers, elevators, escalators, and related components to comply with safety regulations and codes. The position requires supervisory experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and adherence to OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Florida Certificate of Competency is required.
• ASME A17.1 code compliance experience preferred.
• 5+ years elevator maintenance and repair experience.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass federal background screening and site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot brakes, electrical motors, switches, signal, and control systems.
• Use computers, test lamps, voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes for diagnostics.
• Disassemble defective units and repair or replace parts such as motors, wiring, and safety devices.
• Install push button control systems and modernize automated people mover systems.
• Maintain elevator cabs and related components per code.

Fortis Native Group is looking for a Full-Time Elevator Mechanic Supervisor for our Miami 7 contract; candidate must be willing to travel between assigned sites and may be asked to assist at non-assigned sites The Elevator Mechanic Supervisor assists in repairs and maintains "Automated People Movers" and like named devices used in the transportation of people and materials including, but not limited to elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and moving walkways to meet safety regulations and building codes asassociated with the Miami 7 facilities. This individual must foster teamwork, cooperation, and results while monitoring efficiency, productivity and be fiscally responsible.

Qualifications:

Minimum

• Florida Certificate of Competency
• Experience with ASME A17.1 code compliance
• 5+ years elevator maintenance and repair experience
• 3+ years supervisory experience
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and emergency response
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass federal background screening and site access requirements
• Proficiency with MS Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Required education:

• High school or equivalent
• Pay and Benefits according to the Experience and certifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in machine rooms, shafts, pits, confined spaces, and elevated locations.
• Availability for emergency and after-hours callouts as required.
