Position Overview

Job Location: Lafayette, IN

The Elevator Technician position involves performing field service work on all types of elevators, VRCs, and Rack and Pinion using industry-standard methods and procedures. The technician is expected to be knowledgeable on most technical aspects of the elevator industry.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Represent the company professionally onsite.
• Demonstrate expertise in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Application, and Estimation areas.
• Supervise personnel as needed.
• Make decisions and supervise work in the company's best interest.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain proper appearance, conduct, and productivity standards.
• Acquire and maintain necessary tooling.
• Work safely and healthily.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the elevator industry or equivalent.
• Possess or qualify for a CET or NEIEP elevator mechanic's certificate.
• Possess or qualify for a TWIC card.
• Knowledge of elevators.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer proficiency.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Dependable with good organizational skills.
