Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Service Elevator Mechanic to support elevator maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair operations across residential and commercial sites in Texas. The ideal candidate is safety driven, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently in the field while delivering high quality customer service.

This role focuses on routine service, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs on hydraulic, traction, and MRL elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on hydraulic, traction, and MRL elevator systems.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and operational issues.

• Respond to service calls and complete corrective repairs efficiently.

• Conduct safety checks, inspections, and adjustments to ensure code compliance.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Document all service work, repairs, and inspections accurately.

• Communicate professionally with building owners, property managers, and customers.

• Collaborate with supervisors and team members on service priorities.

• Participate in on call rotation for emergency service needs.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Elevator Mechanic, Service Technician, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, traction, and MRL systems.

• Ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues.

• Experience with major OEM equipment (Otis, Schindler, TK, KONE, etc.) preferred.

• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

• Valid Texas elevator license or ability to obtain one (where applicable).

• Strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in pits, hoistways, machine rooms, and varying environments.

Work Environment

• Field based role covering service routes across Texas.

• Exposure to heights, confined spaces, mechanical rooms, and active job sites.

• Requires flexibility for overtime, emergency calls, and rotating shifts.
