Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance and repair experience with cable and hydraulic elevators.
• Thorough knowledge of city and state building codes and elevator codes.
• Familiarity with major elevator manufacturers and equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated communication skills.
• Current CA driver license for at least two years.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard elevator procedures and train journeymen as needed.
• Monitor and maintain elevators on USC campus(es).
• Respond to emergencies on campus and assist trapped passengers.
• Prepare maintenance records and reports.
• Initiate work orders and material requests.
• Train other journeymen on specific skills and tasks.
