Job summary

BrightPath Engineering in Akron is seeking an experienced Elevator Installer and Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain elevator systems, read blueprints, and ensure safety compliance while delivering quality service to clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in elevator installation/maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Elevator Installer or in a similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals; strong electrical/mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install new elevator systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and computer systems of elevators.
• Perform regular maintenance checks including lubrication, cleaning and adjustment of parts.
• Respond to service calls for emergency repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including time spent, materials used and parts replaced.
• Communicate with clients to explain necessary repairs or upgrades.
