Your Impact
As a vital member of our technical training and support department, you will facilitate virtual and in-person instruction, visit dealer sites, and provide high-level troubleshooting assistance. This role is highly interactive and requires a candidate who is comfortable with frequent travel and hands-on technical guidance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitate educational sessions through virtual platforms, on-site dealer visits, or at our Sarasota, FL facility.
- Provide comprehensive assistance via email and phone regarding product inquiries, service, and installation.
- Help ensure high-quality installations by leading field and facility training for our elevator and homelift product lines.
- Streamline the repair process by generating sales orders and managing return material authorizations.
- Contribute to the accuracy and clarity of our technical documentation and training resources.
- Assist the broader technical and training teams with specialized projects to improve overall operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Translate intricate technical information into easily understandable concepts for diverse audiences.
- Maintain clear and professional interpersonal communication through both written and verbal channels.
- Demonstrate confidence and poise when presenting to small groups.
- Utilize modern training methodologies, including interactive learning, video, and webinar tools.
- Apply proficiency in digital platforms, specifically Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general web navigation.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of elevator, vertical platform lift, and homelift technologies.
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of mechanical and electrical system operations.
- Analyze the homelift market landscape, with a focus on shaftless models and common end-user challenges.
- Interpret and read technical schematics accurately.
- Manage complex travel logistics and remain available for trips lasting two weeks or more.
- Effectively organize and prioritize multiple incoming customer support requests.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain flexibility for travel on short notice.
- Help foster strong dealer relationships by providing exceptional support and resolving installation or service concerns through various communication channels.
- Lead and support field and facility training initiatives to ensure team success.
- Provide essential support to the technical and training departments.
- Process repair part requests and sales orders to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Deliver detailed information regarding product applications and services to our partners.
- Participate in the creation and refinement of technical documentation.
Experience & Education
We require 1 to 2 years of experience in a customer-facing environment, preferably involving technical products. Candidates should possess an Associate degree or a relevant trade certification, or alternatively, 4 or more years of equivalent professional experience.
